Star Trek

Although William Shatner knows a little Esperanto and once joked that STAR TREK was supposed to be in Esperanto, I believe Glosa is a more scientific language. Here's a short translation of a part of the script from the first STAR TREK movie. More info at startrek.com.

KIRK: Qo-ka plu trans-me de navi ENTREPRISE ne nu es funktio, sr. Scott?

SCOTT: Na spe; u-ci es simpli u brevi-tem problema, Cefa.

KIRK: Sti sura; u-ci es tali.

SCOTT: Cefa, u navi ENTREPRISE nu-pa gene 18 meno de re-tekto e re-instrumenta. Id nece plu proba, plu tenta de funktio--

KIRK: Sr. Scott, es u xeno ra kon u destru dina ultra kredi mei tele de tri di ab u-ci planeta. U solo astro-navi, qi es proxi a tele de inkontra es u navi ENTREPRISE! Prepara alo ne, id fu sti kine po 12 horo!

SCOTT: Panto navi-pe ne pa gene sufici tem te este more de panto neo instrumenta. Plus-co plu motori, Cefa: Mu ne pa gene plu proba de flexi-spaci dina. Dona ad u-la u non-experi kapitana--
